Cradle Cap care

Step 1: Moisturise

Moisturising BEFORE shampooing is an important step to help loosen the scales formed on your little ones scalp.

Delicately apply a natural and gentle baby moisturiser such as Mama & Bird Baby Lotion to your baby's scalp, and then using a ultra-soft brush or clean fingertips, gently massage the lotion into the skin.

Leave the lotion on your baby's scalp for a few hours, or even overnight if possible, before shampooing in Step 2.

Step 2: Shampoo

One of the most effective ways to treat cradle cap is to regularly (daily) wash your baby's scalp with a mild baby shampoo such as Mama & Bird Baby Wash (for head and body). This will help reduce the excess oil build up on the scalp and lift the patchy scales.

Gently massage Mama & Bird Baby Wash into your baby's scalp, using your fingertips to gentle loosen the flakes. After shampooing, rinse your baby's scalp thoroughly with luke-warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

HELPING BUBS CRADLE CAP

"We’re loving the Baby Buddies Duo! My old routine consisted of coconut oil and comb through in the bath, followed with a soapy rinse. Been doing that for about 5 months…I decided to give that a go with the lotion and wash and WOW. Huge improvement. The lotion has really hydrated the scalp more so than the coconut oil. Now when I comb through in the bath it flakes off easily." ~ Eliza
